ONION PRODUCTION PROGRAM

1. Nursery Management

Onions stay in the nursery for 5–7 weeks. Transplant when seedling necks reach pencil thickness.

Tip Trimming:
Trim leaf tips 3–5 days before transplanting to:

Reduce transplanting shock
Encourage lateral growth
Improve bulb formation

Nursery Spray Program

Timing	Application	Purpose
At sowing	Confidor 10g/20L (soil drench)	Early sucking pest control
After 7 days	Confidor 5g/20L + Ridomil 40g/20L	Sucking pests + damping off
After 10 days	Confidor 5g/20L + Ridomil 40g/20L	Repeat protection

Foliar Feeding:
Apply Mazao Plenty Starter Plus at 40ml/20L in between the above sprays.

2. Seedbed (Main Field) – Weed Control

4. Important Notes

Spray intervals may vary depending on pest/disease pressure.
Fertilizer regime can change depending on crop performance and soil test results.
Always add an adjuvant/sticker (Agral 90, Aquawet, Integra) to improve spray effectiveness-especially during rainy seasons
