Mode of Action

Emalaxyl 68% WP is a systemic fungicide with protective and curative activity. Metalaxyl is rapidly absorbed by roots, stems, and leaves and translocated acropetally within the plant. It inhibits protein synthesis in the pathogen by interfering with RNA polymerase I, effectively stopping mycelial growth and spore formation in oomycetes (Phytophthora, Plasmopara, Pythium, Pseudoperonospora spp.).

Dosage & Application

• Foliar spray: 0.2–0.25% solution (200–250 g per 100 L water)

• Soil drench / seedling dip: 0.25–0.3% solution

• Apply at the first sign of disease or as a preventive measure during favorable weather conditions

• Repeat every 7–14 days depending on disease pressure
