Movento® SC 100 is a modern systemic insecticide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC) with spirotetramat (100 g/L) as its active ingredient. It is specially developed for the control of sucking pests in a wide range of crops including vegetables, citrus, grapes, and other fruit crops.
What makes Movento® unique is its two-way systemic (ambimobile) movement within the plant. After application, it is absorbed through the leaves and translocated both upwards (xylem) and downwards (phloem), allowing it to reach pests feeding on roots, new shoots, and hidden plant parts that are difficult to target with contact insecticides.
Movento® works by inhibiting lipid biosynthesis in insects, disrupting their growth, development, and reproduction. This results in reduced fertility, poor development of immature stages, and gradual population decline. Although the effect is not immediate, it provides long-lasting residual control.
