Ngumi 500SC is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole fungicide based on the active ingredient Carbendazim 500 g/L in a suspension concentrate (SC) form. It works by inhibiting fungal cell division (specifically interfering with DNA synthesis and microtubule formation during nuclear division), which prevents spore germination, mycelial growth, and spore production.
Mode of Action: Systemic — absorbed by the plant and translocated, offering both protective and curative properties.
Target Crops: Roses (especially Botrytis), tomatoes, French beans, mangoes/fruit trees, rice, peas, and various vegetables and flowers.
Main Diseases Controlled:
Grey mould (Botrytis)
Anthracnose
Powdery mildew
Leaf spots and moulds
Root rots and stem rots
Rice blast and sheath blight
Typically applied as a foliar spray (e.g., 20 ml per 20 L of water or 0.75–1 L/ha) at intervals of 5–7 days depending on disease pressure. It can also be used as a soil drench. It mixes well with most other pesticides (avoid strong alkaline products).
