Active Ingredients

• Atrazine (selective systemic triazine – HRAC C1)

• Mesotrione (selective systemic triketone – HRAC F2)

• Nicosulfuron (selective sulfonylurea – HRAC B)

Mode of Action

• Atrazine: Absorbed mainly through roots (also by foliage), disrupts Photosystem II

• Mesotrione: Inhibits HPPD enzyme, causing bleaching of leaves and plant death

• Nicosulfuron: Inhibits ALS enzyme, leading to chlorosis, necrosis and death

Target Crops & Weeds

• Crop: Maize

• Weeds: Grasses and broad-leaved weeds

Application Rate

• 1.5 L/ha in 200 L of water (600 ml/Acre)

• 75–100 ml per 20 L of water

Timing

• Apply once post-emergence to weeds and maize at 3–5 leaf stage

• Apply 21 days after planting

Safety Intervals

• Re-entry interval (REI): 12 hours

• Pre-harvest interval (PHI): 45 days (maize)

Key Precautions

• Wear full protective clothing during mixing and application

• Do not graze or collect feed from treated areas

• Toxic to fish, aquatic invertebrates, bees and animals

• Alternate with herbicides of different modes of action to manage resistance
