Product Description

A highly effective, selective post-emergence herbicide used for controlling annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in maize.

• Mesotrione – 40 g/L

• Nicosulfuron – 20 g/L

• Atrazine – 200 g/L

Mode of Action

Spencer 260 OD combines three herbicides from different chemical groups to improve weed control.

1. Atrazine (Chlorotriazine group)

   • Mainly absorbed by roots

   • Works by inhibiting photosynthesis

2. Nicosulfuron (Sulfonylurea group)

   • Absorbed by foliage and roots

   • Inhibits cell division and growth

3. Mesotrione (Triketone group)

   • Absorbed through foliage and roots

   • Blocks essential enzymes in weeds

The herbicide is absorbed through shoots and leaves, disrupting important plant processes and killing the weeds.

Directions for Use

Crop

• Maize

Application Timing

• Apply up to the 8th leaf stage of maize

• Spray when weeds are actively growing

• Apply when:

  • Soil has sufficient moisture

  • Crop is not under stress

• Avoid spraying if rain is expected within a few hours

Optimal Weed Size

• Grasses: Less than 5 cm

• Broadleaf weeds: Less than 8 cm

Application Frequency

• 1 post-emergence application

Application Rates

Mixing Instructions

1. Half-fill spray tank with water.

2. Add the required amount of Spencer 260 OD.

3. Fill the remaining water to the required level.

4. Mix thoroughly.

5. Use the spray mixture the same day it is prepared.

Safety Intervals

• Re-Entry Interval (REI): 24 hours

• Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): 60 days (for maize)
